Rise & Shine!
Come Rise & Shine with the Cheyenne Running Club for a fantastic start to your Wednesday! This is a weekly event great for all pace and experience levels. So come join us to jog, run, run/walk, or even skip any distance you feel like. We change up our route each week to cruise through different parts of the surrounding areas, plus we begin and end at Central Cafe, so that post run carb, protein, and caffeine is immediately within reach. As an added bonus, portions of the year we will also provide runners the chance to welcome the sun and bask in the splendor of a Wyoming sun rise!

Greenway Clean Up
Bring out all of your family and friends, and help us clean up our adopted sections of Greenway. As so many of us run on the Greenway regularly, we have always felt this is a small way we runners can give back and show our appreciation of the great system here in Cheyenne. This is not a running event, but is an excellent opportunity to volunteer, and all are welcome to participate.
We will provide trash bags, gloves, and water for all participants. Thanks for helping us keep the Cheyenne Greenway clean!!
Gowdy Sunrise
Celebrate the Fall Equinox, and join us for a truly amazing experience that you are not going to want to miss. Bring your headlamps, as we will start this trail run in the dark and wind our way up to the top of El Alto*. From here, we will take a break to embrace the epic beauty of the sun's first light as it stretches across the forest.
Once we return to the trailhead, we will fire up the griddles for a well earned pancake breakfast there in Curt Gowdy. We will provide everything for the pancakes, however, you are welcome to bring any other items you may like to share with your sunrise runner pals.
We will meet at the Aspen Grove Trailhead in Curt Gowdy. Please see the GPS coordinates in the location to aide in navigating to the TH.
*Please note that the El Alto trail is a more technical trail, so it will be slow going up this.

Run Talk
On June 6, Gold’s Gym Cheyenne and the Cheyenne Running Club invite you to join us for Run Talk: a presentation on run training, followed by a 3K group run. Whether you are new to running and unsure how to avoid injury get faster, or a seasoned runner looking to break through a plateau, you will find invaluable information to help you on your journey. Both the presentation and the run will be led by Gold’s Gym’s own elite CPT, Branko Oktavec.
Branko, an endurance athlete himself, has worked with countless runners over his nine-year tenure at Gold’s Gym Cheyenne. With his background in ice hockey and his personal running journey, he has gained invaluable insight and expertise into correctly train for running and endurance sports. Branko’s accolades include multiple age-group podium finishes in Ironman 70.3 and Olympic-distance triathlons, as well as competing at the 2022 Ironman 70.3 World Championship.
We will gather for the presentation in The Office Bar & Grill’s “Napa” room. Following the talk, we will head out from The Office for a 3km group run to Holiday Park and back. Afterward, please stay and enjoy post-run refreshments, including coffee and baked goods. We hope to see many running enthusiasts there!

Spring Training: Beginners Series
Spring Training is here! Join us this Spring for an exciting eight-week series of beginner runs on Mondays starting 3/30, 6p at Cahill Park!
This series will allow you to familiarize yourself with trying out different paces, both with a group and by yourself. Walking is acceptable and encouraged as needed. You can expect the length of the run to be between 1-3 miles at the same starting point every week, so an out and back option is always available for those wanting to pick their own distance. However, you will have a leader to give you an idea on how to strategize and improve your run with each session!
This run is also kid and pet friendly....wheels and paws are welcome to tag along! Although geared towards new runners or those getting back into running, we still encourage intermediate and advance runner participation.
At the end of this series, our goal is for you to feel confident to continue your running journey and join some of our other amazing weekly running events and races happening this summer!
