Winter Trails

Winter will not deter us, no way!  We are going to embrace it, and continue to do what we love.  And yes, that means trail running!!

Join us on the multi-use trails at Happy Jack, as we embark on an epic adventure in the Great Outdoors.  While the trails are well maintained, we recommend you bring cramp ons (Yak Trax, Kahtoola, etc.) to ensure you have traction in the packed snow.  If you have never enjoyed Happy Jack in the winter months, prepare to be in awe of the winter majesty just a few miles up the road.

P.S. Happy Jack is higher in elevation, and often times a bit more chilly than in either Cheyenne or Laramie, but the plus side is the dense forest helps block much of the wind.

Gowdy Sunrise

Celebrate the Fall Equinox, and join us for a truly amazing experience that you are not going to want to miss.  Bring your headlamps, as we will start this trail run in the dark and wind our way up to the top of El Alto*. From here, we will take a break to embrace the epic beauty of the sun's first light as it stretches across the forest.

Once we return to the trailhead, we will fire up the griddles for a well earned pancake breakfast there in Curt Gowdy. We will provide everything for the pancakes, however, you are welcome to bring any other items you may like to share with your sunrise runner pals.

We will meet at the Aspen Grove Trailhead in Curt Gowdy.  Please see the GPS coordinates in the location to aide in navigating to the TH.

*Please note that the El Alto trail is a more technical trail, so it will be slow going up this.
