The Cheyenne Animal Shelter and Cheyenne Running Club have partnered to offer a very special free event on April 16th, called Paws & Pals.  Runners will have the opportunity to meet a new furry friend, and get to take along their new running buddy for an enjoyable social run. The run will be up to 3 miles, and will depend on the runner and pup.  Walkers are encouraged to join us as well. This is a great event for our running community to get involved, and allows our furry friends to get out and enjoy some exercise.

All runners must sign up for the event one week in advance at signupgenius.com to ensure the CAS staff is able to provide the right mix of dogs for runners.  The day of the event, runners will meet at the Animal Shelter to fill out waivers and meet their running buddies.  Each runner will be provided with a leash and a small treat bag pouch to reward their pup while out on the run.  Our group will then drive over to Cahill Park, and enjoy a relaxed social run. Have fun, and feel free to snap selfies and post about Paws & Pals on all your socials.

Fall is officially here, and that means the return of Little Lotus Yoga Detox / Retox, and our Strava (GPS) Art Runs.  These are some of the most fun runs throughout the year, as we create designs with our running routes, then stretch it out with some yoga, and finish it up with a cold pint of beer!

Rules for submission:

- All routes must start and end at, or near, Freedom's Edge Brewing Company.

- Routes must be of your creation.  We do prefer them to be seasonally appropriate, though are open to your creative designs.

- Routes may not exceed 10k in distance

- All entries must be emailed to us at CheyenneRunningClub@gmail.com, no later than October 10, 2021.

- Dates for Detox / Retox: Oct 16, Nov 21, Dec 19

Contest is open to everyone, and we are excited to see all your creative creations.  Good luck!

September 19, 2021

So, we decided to throw a little Oktoberfestathon with some of our good friends.  What is an Oktoberfestathon might you ask?  Well, think of it as a sort of competitive, yet completely unserious afternoon filled with our favorite things: bikes, beer, brats, and (b)running!

(Yes, we know there is not usually a b before running, just go with it, we thought it was clever.)

Heck, this is even going to include our inaugural Beers and Cheers Mile!  I guess it might be time to start training.

Learn more here.
